Biography

I am currently Senior Lecturer in Medieval French Language and Literature at the University of Manchester, and am the Hon. Secretary and Treasurer of the Anglo-Norman Text Society. As a specialist in Old French Anglo-Norman at this institution, I enjoy the signal honour of following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Fred Whitehead, Eugene Vinaver, Mildred Pope, John Orr, William Rothwell, Fanni Bogdanow, and Jane Taylor. My own research and teaching intersect in a number of ways with those of my illustrious predecessors.
