Biography

Since July 2008 I have been employed as a Research Associate at the Manchester Architecture Research Centre, working on the Carbon Reduction in Buildings (EPSRC / Carbon Trust), Ecocities (Bruntwood), Sustainable Consumption Institute (Tesco), and (most recently) AHRC 'Religion & Society' programmes.

Previously, I was employed as a Senior Project Co-ordinator at the Centre for Enterprise (CFE) in Leicester, involved in the research and evaluation of further education and sector skills policy. Between 2005 and 2007, I was employed at Durham University (Geography), as a Research Associate on the project Ethnographies of the Social Economy: Practices in Place (ESRC), an analysis of the social enterprise sectors in Manchester and Bristol. Prior to this, I studied for a doctorate at Lancaster University (Sociology), where I researched the connections between community development, social policy and new media technologies.
