Dr Jenni Viitanen - Research
Research interests
Jenni's current research is focused on the emerging "Smart City" agenda in Europe and beyond, building on her PhD research "Citizenship in the electronically networked city", an ESRC funded CASE award in partnership with Manchester Digital Development Agency.
Her current research is funded via EU's Competitiveness and Innovation framework ICT Policy Support Programme and the Energy Innovation Fund via UMIP.
Her previous research projects include topics related to economic development, inequality, housing, climate change, local government and localism.
