Aleksandra gained an MSc in Geography from the University of Warsaw, Poland in 2003 and then an MSc in Environmental Resources from the University of Salford in 2005. Her PhD focused on the associations between urban green spaces and social cohesion in Greater Manchester.

Aleksandra is a Research Associate in the Cities and Climate Change, working on the Eco Cities project. She represents the University of Manchester in the European Topic Centre on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation.
